I like sports. Kind of. I like playing sports. I used to play indoor netball, was captain of a team for years and years and years. Till there was drama, and I walked away. I was sad about that because (bar one) the team was really brilliant. We got on so well. But yes, I like playing sports. I'm not especially co-ordinated or fit, but I enjoy the running around. Team games, generally.
I am not a fan of watching. I don't care about the warriors (much to Lyth's disgust) or rugby league (go Benji Marshall!) or rugby or anything. I generally won't watch sport on TV. I might maybe get pressured into going to watch a live game, in which case I prefer basketball to anything else (especially cricket. Or league. Or anything that requires you sitting around either a) bitterly cold or b) waiting for something to happen, and nothing does.
But the generally rule is, if sport is on, I'm going to be asleep on the couch, or at the bar, or wherever. *shrug*
Sports that I'm especially keen on? Snowboarding (does that count as a sport?) because its brilliant. Wakeboarding because it's essentially snowboarding on water. Indoor netball, because it's also quite fun. A quick game is a fast game. Beach Cricket (of which there has been loads this year. More at the beginning than at the end. Hopefully more before I go, too). Swimming (if it means splashing around at a beach). I'd like to get into Kite Surfing, but plan on doing that maybe in Greece (!!) at some point in the Northern Hemisphere's summer. We'll see.
And you? Do you play sports?
