Oh man, I'm a HUGE fan of games. Card games (500, Gin, Last Card) go back a long way. I have a stupid amount of memories being away with family at the beach, and sitting around after dinner playing Scum. My dad would crow his victories ('Champion! Champion!') and when we got one over him we wouldn't let him live it down. I learnt how to play 500, sitting around in an old lounge, ignoring the cricket that my ex's family were determined for me to like. And oh so many skipped lectures playing Gin in the commons. You had be quick, and our games were always super convoluted. It was alot of fun.
I was a fan of console games, PS3, rather than xbox. Huge fan of Little Big Planet, and funny puzzle games that don't require alot of co-ordination. Have alot of fun memories of sitting around with the Compsci Crew playing Burnout Revenge (which lead to me getting Burnout Paradise City, and playing ALOT of that about 6 months ago). Lyth tried to teach me to pay Battlefield: 1943, which was hilarious. And an epic fail. Same with Halo. I did better with Portal + Tf2. I miss the platform games of the Sega Megadrive days. Sonic the Hedgehog, and Crash Bandicoot. Ah, good times.
For a while there I was playing an awful lot of TF2, and if I can convince Lyth, we sometimes play it on our weekly catch ups. I favour the Pyro, and get a severe amount of satisfaction flaming people and running away to have them die (hahaha, win). I used to played with a friend, and it was he who got me involved in the first place (Oh Chris, you crack me up) because I'm sure that he thought it would be hilarious. There was also alot of cackling in my ears as I did something particularly stupid.
I do like puzzle games - Things like World of Goo kept my attention for quite a long time. Age of Empires + Civilisation are other games that I can very easily get lost in. Plants vs Zombies, too.
And oh! Board games! Huge Risk fan (TOTAL DOMINATION!). And I've had many a happy night hosting games nights, with alot of laughing and eating. Generally we play Cranium, or Pictionary. Once or twice we've played Cluedo, which was alot of fun.
So yes. I play games, and I enjoy them a fair amount. Do any of you game?
