"Young women you're going to be an old woman some day. Don't worry about it. Don't sweat it. Don't worry about getting older. Every era it builds character."
I love their attitude. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
I like colour, but I never wear it. I shy towards greys and blacks and whites. And I wonder if I'm being a sheep, if I'm trying to hide myself in a crowd. Like the lady said; "Too many people are so afraid and they just want to do what everyone else does and look like everyone else."
I think I need more of this kind of attitude: "I don't dress for anyone else, I dress for myself. If someone doesn't like what I'm wearing, I don't give a shit." I'm in London now. There are people all over the place with more outrageous style dripping from their finger tips than I do in any outfit I own. It's a bit ridiculous, I think. So, I'm going to endeavour to move away from the muted colours. When I shop, it'll be some outrageously loud fantastic pieces.
I'll let you know how it goes.
