@Lys – I was totally the same. I’m not into Anime really unless it’s Studio Ghibli. :) And it is fantastic! Ponyo is so sweet and filled with cuteness! Yay! :)

i never really liked any kind of japanese style animation until i met my boyfriend. he introduced me to howl’s moving castle, kiki’s delivery service, totoro, spirited away…all of them. i think total i’ve seen about 10 studio ghibli films and i’ve got a special place for all of them. i cannot wait to see ponyo, it looks so fantastic :)

@Heidi – me too! I can’t believe you’ve managed to pick a favourite! I’ve found picking one so tricky, there are aspects of all that I love (the CatBus in Totoro, The TopHat Henchmen in Howls Moving Castle, the little tiki woodmen in Princess Mononoke . . .) though yeah, I think Kiki’s Delivery Service would also be in my top 5 :)

And I didn’t know that about the stars! I’ll have to pay more attention when I’m there next . . .

I’m still grinning over that film. I absolutely adore Miyazaki’s anime. I think Kiki’s Delivery Service is still one of my favourites.
