Barkley Manor (Quinn’s daycare place) mentioned today that they had found my blog, which I found only slightly disturbing (I write more for strangers and myself than I do the people I know. If someone mentions that they have read it I always end up thinking ‘oh shit – what did I write? Will they take offence?’). Anyway, they mentioned that they are now on flickr and I was delighted to see some familiar faces.

This is Murphy, and he’s the kind of dog I orginally wanted. Unfortunately when I was in the market for a pup I lived in a fairly small inner city apartment, and a dog like M just wasn’t going to fit. I think he’s one of the Barkley Manor’s staff dogs, because several times when I’ve gone to pick up Quinn he’s been around, just hanging out.
And he’s the kind of dog that has no qualms about demanding attention and cuddles. When your sitting on the couch waiting for your pup to come back and this giant dog is sitting next to you, almost as big as you are, it’s hard to deny such a gorgeous face a few pats and a cuddle.
For serious, would you deny such a pretty face?

Aw, just adorable! I kind of get weirded out when real life folks read the blog, too.
I think its natural, really. It’s easier to think about strangers reading your blog than it is real people, who a) might find blogging ‘weird’ and b) who you generally would word things differently or censor things from.
Oh well, I put myself out there for everyone. The strangers, the people I dislike, and the people I know. It’s why we don’t blog 100% about our lives, right?
Murphys mum here, yep i did read the blog, but to be perfectly honest, I only read aboutt he bit relating to BM so dont fret.!
Murphy (or smuph as we know him) is my dog, and he used to come with me to work daily, and looves playing with the smaller dogs – especially Quinn, as Quinn is one of my favourites at the manor.
So when you are in next make sure you give the smurph a pat!
